Aston Martin Upgrades

Other notable upgrades to the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera include a new ZF 8HP95 transmission (with a shorter final-drive gear ratio) and a mechanical limited slip rear differential. Major components of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera body are constructed of carbon fiber to provide a major reduction in curb weight.

With all its horsepower and technology, the best thing that you can do for your Aston Martin DBS or DBS Superleggera is introducing it to Forza Tuning and Performance in Clearwater, Florida. While Forza is geographically convenient to the communities of Tampa, Tampa Bay, Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Orlando, Florida, any Aston Martin DBS owner within the continental United States may use Forza enclosed vehicle transport for service and repair that exceeds even that of the dealership. Forza professional vehicle transport is offered as either a one-way or roundtrip service.

Aston Martin Service & Repair

The Aston Martin DBS, a high-performance grand touring coupe, has been in production three separate times. The first time was from 1967 through 1972. The most widely recognized version of the Aston Martin DBS was produced from 2007 through 2012 and the latest (and most capable) version was introduced in 2018. The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera remains in production at the time this article was written. Key variants to the Aston Martin DBS include the DBS Volante (2009-2012), the Carbon Black Limited Edition (2010), the Carbon Edition (2011-2012), and the Year of the Dragon 88 Edition (2012). The Aston Martin DBS was first introduced in the 2006 film Casino Royale featuring Daniel Craig as British super spy James Bond (007).

While the middle version of the Aston Martin DBS was capable in its own right, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera adds many modern technological features. The large grille helps to keep the engine cooler, along with a pair of functional vents on the hood. Derived from years of racing, extractor vents on either side of the car provide ambient air for cooling hot brake components. Aerodynamic enhancements include Aston Martin’s F1-inspired Aeroblade System, with a dual-diffuser that yields 397-pounds of downforce (highest downforce rating ever by an Aston Martin production vehicle).

On the business end of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine that is situated behind the front axle and as far back in the chassis as possible. Capable of producing 715hp at 6,500 RPM and 664 lb.-ft. of torque between 1,800 and 5,000 RPM, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4-seconds and from 0 to 100 mph in 6.4-seconds. A new quad-pipe titanium exhaust system produces a sound that soothes even the most savage of speed enthusiasts and the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera has a top speed (electronically controlled) of 211 mph. Manually selected driving modes include GT, Sport and Sport Plus.
