Ferrari 360

The Ferrari 360 was a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive roadster designed with an all-new aluminum chassis. Despite the frame being 10-percent larger than that of the Ferrari F355, it was 28-percent lighter. Combine that with the fact that it was 40-percent stiffer and you have a winning foundation for a supercar – lighter, stronger, faster. Key model variations included the Ferrari 360 Modena, the Ferrari 360 Spider and, the high-performance Ferrari Challenge Stradale Carbon-fiber brakes, a track-tuned suspension, improved aerodynamic capabilities, and reduced weight are just a few of the features that make the Ferrari Challenge Stradale so special. Of the 16,365 Ferrari 360 Modena (coupe) and Ferrari 360 Spyder (convertible) units produced worldwide, 4,199 were built for U.S. markets.

Manufactured from 1999 through 2005, the Ferrari 360 was equipped with a 3.6-liter V8 engine. It included a flat-plane crankshaft and titanium connecting rods. Output was estimated to be 395hp and the car could accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5-seconds. The Ferrari 360 was offered with either a gated 6-speed manual transmission or an automated F1 single-clutch transmission.
