This is due in large part to the twin-turbo setup of the Ferrari 488. The Ferrari 488 engine is an all-aluminum 3.9-liter V8 with two turbochargers and two (air-to-air) intercoolers.
Utilizing twin-scroll, parallel roller bearing, Honeywell turbochargers, with low-density titanium alloy wheels, the Ferrari 488 can produce 661hp at 8000 RPM and 561 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 RPM.
Top speed for the Ferrari 488 is 205 mph (electronically controlled). It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and turn a quarter-mile on the dragstrip in 10.45-seconds.
