Ferrari 458 Performance Upgrade

The Ferrari 458 was first revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was produced from 2009 until 2015 when it was succeeded by the Ferrari 488. Notable variations to the model include the Ferrari 458 Spyder and the Ferrari 458 Speciale. Using technology and design derived from Ferrari’s involvement in Formula One Racing, the Ferrari 458 was introduced as the successor to the Ferrari 430 with its own innovative and entirely new platform.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine, with direct fuel injection (a first for a Ferrari mid-engine car), the Ferrari 458 was capable of producing 562hp at 9,000 RPM and 398 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,000 RPM. Eighty percent of available torque is produced at 3,250 RPM. That makes for dramatic take-offs and very responsive acceleration. The Ferrari 458 has a power-to-weight ratio of 5.75-pounds per horsepower and a top speed of 202 mph. It could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3-seconds.
