Mercedes-AMG C63 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S
The Mercedes-AMG C63 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S were introduced in 2015. Both sedans featured the twin turbocharged 4.0-liter engine mated to a 7-speed automatic DCT transmission in a rear-wheel drive configuration. For the Mercedes-AMG C63, maximum output was 469hp and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. The Mercedes-AMG C63 S was tuned to get 503hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque from the turbocharged V8 motor. Accelerating from 0 to 62 mph could be accomplished in 4.1-seconds for the C63 and 4.0-seconds for the C63 S.
An even more aggressive front bumper, a unique grille and a more muscular hood set the Mercedes-AMG C63 and Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe models apart from other C-Class cars. Larger openings in the front bumper provided much needed additional cooling for the powerful twin turbo V8 and performance braking systems of the AMG 63 Coupe models. Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe models also have larger 19-inch wheels wrapped in fat sport tires. Bulging wheel arches accommodate the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe’s wider track and specially designed rims with AMG badging. The powerful 4.0-liter twin turbocharged engine also powers the AMG 63 and AMG 63 S Coupe. Top speed for the Mercedes-AMG C63 is 155 mph while the Mercedes-AMG 63 S can reach the speed of 174 mph. The Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S Coupe were introduced during the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
